Can I start page numbering from a number other than 1?+

Yes — set any starting number. If your document is chapter 3 and chapters 1–2 had 40 pages, start at 41.

Can I add page numbers to specific pages only?+

Currently page numbers are added to every page. Use the Extract Pages tool to create a subset, number it, then merge back.
